WWE officials reportedly once told Cesaro to dull his moveset while working as a heel.
Cesaro is known for being a stand-out in the ring, even if he’s been held back at times. His in-ring style apparently didn’t sit well with some higher-ups as WWE Hall of Famer and former producer Arn Anderson revealed on a recent episode of his “ARN” podcast that Cesaro was once told to tone it down as a heel.
“He continued to get leaned on to stop doing all that stuff [impressive moves] as a heel. It was just too flashy and all that stuff,” Arn said.
Arn added that only certain top people in the company don’t see Cesaro as a top guy.
“He’s not a favorite guy, as you know, of the front office, for whatever reason that is,” Arn revealed. “They’re the only ones that know because everyone else across the planet seems to think he’s a Superstar.”
