WWE SmackDown Viewership and Key Demo Rating for Friday’s Episode

Friday’s live edition of WWE SmackDown drew an average of 2.077 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen, via Showbuzz Daily.

This final number is down 2.44% from the previous week’s final viewership of 2.129 million viewers for the post-Money In the Bank show.

Friday’s SmackDown drew a 0.47 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is even with the previous week’s 0.47 rating. This week’s 0.47 key demo rating represents 613,000 18-49 viewers, which is even with the 613,000 18-49 viewers that the previous week’s 0.47 key demo rating drew, according to Wrestlenomics.

SmackDown ranked #1 in ratings for the key 18-49 demographic on network TV, tied with La Herencia – Un Legado de Amor Capítulo on Univision, and up from the previous week’s #2 ranking. SmackDown ranked #2 in the 18-34 demo this week, tied with Univision’s Mujer De Nadie and La Mexicana y El Güero, and even with the previous week’s #2 ranking. SmackDown ranked #1 in the 25-54 demo, even with the previous week’s #1 ranking, and the two weeks before that. SmackDown came in at #6 for the night in viewership on network TV, even with the previous week’s #6 ranking. Blue Bloods on CBS topped the night in viewership on network TV with 2.913 million viewers, also drawing a 0.24 key demo rating.

Friday’s live SmackDown drew the lowest total audience since the June 10 post-Hell In a Cell episode, but the show still tied for the top key demo rating of the night. There was no sports competition this past Friday night. Friday’s viewership was down 2.44% from the previous week’s episode, while the key demo rating was even with the previous week’s episode.

The 2022 British Open on the USA Network topped the day on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.22 key demo rating, also drawing 1.337 million viewers. The Five on FOX News topped the night on cable in viewership with 3.009 million viewers, also drawing a 0.19 key demo rating for the #3 spot on the Cable Top 150.

Viewership for Friday’s SmackDown episode was down 10.08% from the same week in 2021, while Friday’s 18-49 key demo rating was down 28.78% from the same week in 2021. The 2021 episode was the return to the road episode.

Friday’s SmackDown aired live from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL, with the following line-up advertised – Theory vs. Madcap Moss, and SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan vs. Natalya in a non-title Championship Contender’s match. The main event ended up being Drew McIntyre vs. Ridge Holland.
