Paige and Ember Moon both had criticism over how WWE has treated the Women’s Tag Team Titles during last night’s WWE Backstage episode on FS1. They both agreed that it was the wrong decision to put the titles on current champions Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley as their storyline didn’t need the title win.
Paige said the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles haven’t been used to their full potential, considering everyone who has held them, and she feels like they’re not being defended as often as they should. She said the titles have been “thrown under the rug” and not used right, or taken very seriously.
Paige said at some point the titles have to be taken seriously because it’s big for the women’s division to have them, and they could be used on all three brands to build up other talent. Moon added that the recent title change on SmackDown didn’t help anyone.
