With Sami Zayn choosing to sit on the sidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic, he is unable to defend his Intercontinental Title. Tonight on WWE Backstage it was announced that WWE has declared the title vacant and a tournament to crown a new IC champion will begin this Friday on Smackdown.
