A video package of Jay Lethal and Jay White’s history in ROH is shown.

Renee welcomes Roderick Strong & The Kingdom to the stage. Roderick Strong says he will no longer suffer consequences for his decisions, as Strong stands up and throws the wheelchair off the stage before slamming the mic.

Hangman is here with Renee. Hangman couldn’t fly after taking a cinder block to the back of the head. Swerve is with Maria May. May says that Tony Khan has watched ALL of her work and they have planned her debut. Renee inquires but May tells her that’s none of her business, and tonight is all about Toni Storm. Alright then.

Winners: NR

Rating: NR

Jon Moxley is humble before God and his mother, but that’s it. Moxley knows who he is and what he’s capable of, because he’s the Ace of the World, b*tch! Swerve is here and he says it’s going to take more than some fancy kick pads to stop him. Moxley says good, and they’ll see each other in Texas. That’s big time.

Ben Mankewicz from Turner Classic Movies is here. Ben compares “Timeless” Toni Storm to once in a lifetime performers like Brando, and here she is:

Riho is back! Storm attacks with the belt but Riho dropkicks her and feigns a dive.

Rating: ***1/2. Classic wrestling match here, much different than the previous two tournament matches. White focused on a body part and it paid off in the end. Psychology, baby.

Shana Wayne cracks Copeland with the belt! Christian hits the Killswitch again and stomps the back of the neck on the title. The referee eventually comes to, and Christian gets the easy pinfall.

Winner: Christian Cage

Rating: ****. The story and the wrestling here are top notch. Copeland and Christian had the fans in the palm of their hands and it delivered in all aspects.

Final Thoughts: Wrestling-heavy episode of Dynamite tonight, as the Continental Classic is the sole focus of the show, putting the emphasis on the in-ring product. The Devil’s fellas vs. Joe and MJF was a bit of a Russo-like segment, but I’m still intrigued by who it might be. There are a few ways that the tournament can go, but it was a strange choice to, in essence, eliminate a guy like Mark Briscoe so early, who the fans clearly love. Moxley and Swerve should be great and White continues to impress. The main event was a master class in pro wrestling between two guys who really prove age is nothing but a number. Great story, great match, great crowd. 8/10.
