Winner and STILL AEW Continental Crown Champion: Eddie Kingston

Rating: ***12. Yuta was in control for 85% of this match, but it didn’t matter in the end. This match felt a little long for me, but Eddie’s doing a great job on his journey with the Triple Crown,

Renee is with Matt and Jeff Hardy, and Mark Briscoe. Mark says they kicked ass and took names last week, and they might get together again. Jeff says they are ratings because Rampage beat Collision in the numbers (what?). Matt and Jeff give Mark a pendant and it seems we have a new trio

Match #2. Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana vs. Matt Sydal

Both men trad headlocks early. Step-up hurricanrana by Sydal and a two count. Trio of roll ups by Sydal but Swerve stops the momentum with a backbreaker. Running European uppercut in the corner and a diving uppercut off the middle rope to the back of Sydal. Another backbreaker by Swerve. High kick by Sydal out of nowhere and an Air Raid Crash. Two count. Swerve ducks a clothesline and catches Sydal with a rolling flatliner. Brainbuster by Swerve. Swerve goes up top and misses the Swerve Stomp. Sydal looks for a victory roll but Swerve holds on, muscles Sydal up, and drills him with the JML Driver. That’ll finish this one.

Winner: Swerve Strickland

Rating: **. Sydal didn’t get a lot of offense in here, but he got enough to make it interesting. Swerve continues his roll and looks good doing so.

Match #3. Hikaru Shida vs. Queen Aminata

Shida charges with a pair of shoulder blocks and some mounted punches in the corner. Aminata with a running hip attack in the corner and a face wash to a grounded. Shida rolls outside and Aminata follows, beating on Shida around the ringside area. Back in the ring, Aminata delivers some big elbows as we go to a full commercial break. Back from break and Aminata with a snap mare and a kick to the shoulder blades. Shida returns fire, and then asks Aminata fro her best shot. Now Aminata asks the same. Machinegun kicks by Aminata and a running boot, but Shida catches the knee and delivers a dragon screw. Suplex by Shida, right into an ankle lock. Aminata powers house and delivers some huge forearms and a headbutt. German suplex by Aminata but Shida counters with a short-arm lariat. Aminata backs out of a Falcon Arrow and punts Shida. One, two, no! Aminata goes up top and looks for the BME but Shida rolls inward. Running knee by Shida and the Falcon Arrow. Two count. Kitana by Shida and that does it.

Winner: Hikaru Shida

Rating: **1/4. Aminata got in a lot of offense here and looked good doing so. Definitely a good prospect going forward.

Match #4. Jake Hager, Angelo Parker, & Matt Menard vs. The Dark Order w/ -1

Hager runs through everyone but Menard tags himself in. Back elbow by Reynolds and a stalling German suplex by Renolds. Trio of splashes in the corner and a pop-up assisted European uppercut by Dark Order. Hager runs over Reynolds however, and delivers some elbows in the corner. Back suplex by Hager as we go to PIP. Reynolds sends Hager up and over to the outside, where he gets in the face of -1! Reynolds tries a dive and Hager catches him and throws him into the guard rail. Uno gets the hot tag and cleans house, with a referee assisted neckbreaker to Parker. Swanton by Uno off the top gets two. Discus lariat but Parker counters. Silver gets the tag and lights Parker up with round kicks. Cannonball to Hager off the apron and a clothes to Menard on the floor. German suplex to Parker. Pendulum Bomb by Dark Order but Menard breaks it up before the three. Menard crotches Silver on the top rope and a double implant DDT by Menard and Parker. Hager Bomb off the middle rope to Reynolds gets two. Ankle lock by Hager but -1 has Hager’s bucket hat! Uno double clotheslines Menard and Parker on the outside. Hager got the hat back but a clothesline by Silver and an enziguiri in the corner. Rolling elbow, stunner, German suplex combo by Dark Order and that’ll get the win!

Winners: The Dark Order

Rating: **1/2. Nice feel-good match here, with some vintage Dark Order stuff and it was cool to see -1 back.

Final Thoughts: While the Continental Crowd match was competitive, again, as the case with Rampage more often than not, the outcomes of the matches were all too predictable and it just felt like the show was “there.” 6.5/10.
