As noted, AEW star CM Punk attended Saturday’s Impact Wrestling Spring Slugfest TV tapings from Cicero Stadium in his hometown of Chicago, IL. WWE’s Tamina Snuka and NJPW’s Mercedes Moné were also there to support Trinity Fatu in her Impact debut. It was previously reported that Punk was well-received backstage. It was also said that for most of the night Punk spent a lot of time just talking with the wrestlers, several who told him how he impacted or inspired their careers.

In an update, a new report from Fightful Select notes that Punk spoke with more than a dozen Impact wrestlers, and exchanged pleasantries while backstage.

Punk reportedly had some kind words for a few of the wrestlers he met backstage, and he even played a round of Uno with one wrestler. People backstage at Impact said Punk was pleasant, in a good mood, and happy to be there.

There are no plans for Punk to do any kind of work with Impact, and he’s still scheduled to lead the AEW Collision brand starting in June.

For those who missed it, below are photos of Punk with Jordynne Grace and WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton, who was working as a producer at the tapings:
