Following his victory over Pineapple Pete on AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho issued a challenge to The Elite to the first ever Stadium Stampede matchup at the May 23rd Double Or Nothing pay per view. Le Champion indicated that they would brawl all over a football stadium that holds over 80,000 people, indicating that the Jacksonville Jaguars TIAA Stadium may be host.
Also announced for Double or Nothing was Kris Statlander taking on Britt Baker in singles-action, as well as Private Party battling The Best Friends on the Buy-In Preshow to determine a new number one contender.
