The inaugural Strong Survivor Match has been announced for the first NJPW Strong episode of 2023.
The match will begin as a Battle Royale with over-the-top eliminations. When just four wrestlers remain, the match will feature pinfall/submission eliminations. The last wrestler remaining will win a future shot at the NJPW Strong Openweight Title, currently held by Fred Rosser.
Saturday’s NJPW Strong episode will also feature Hikuleo and Alan Angels vs. The Bullet Club’s El Phantasmo and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White. This will be the opener, while the Strong Survivor match will headline.
These matches were a part of the NJPW Strong Nemesis tapings held on December 11 in Los Angeles. Spoilers can be found here.
