The Revolt Receive Cease and Desist Letters From Indie Wrestling Team

According to PW Insider, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood (formerly The Revival in WWE) have received a cease and desist letter from the lawyer of indie wrestlers Caleb Konley and Zane Riley for using the moniker “The Revolt” as there new team name. The report states that Wheeler, Harwood, Konley, and Riley all came up from the same circuits in the Carolinas, with Riley and Konley using The Revolt name in that scene for some time.

The letter states that Konley and Riley attempted to contact Wheeler and Harwood as friends in regards to the name, but were rebuffed. However, the lawyer of Harwood and Wheeler responded by saying that his clients team name isn’t “The Revolt,” but FTR, which can mean different things at different times. There is also no conclusive trademark on the term “Fear The Revolt,” a phrase that Wheeler and Harwood have used in their post-WWE promotional materials.

Konley and Riley do own the exclusive rights to The Revolt name. Wheeler and Harwood’s lawyer says that his clients were even willing to work with Konley and Riley at independent events, but all offers are now off the table due to their disparaging attempts over social media. At this time…the representation of Konley and Riley have yet to answer FTR’s.
