Orlando area reporter Jon Alba took to Twitter this morning to praise AEW and President Tony Khan for constantly testing staff and talent for COVID-19 during AEW’s weekly tapings. When a fan reached out to ask specifics, Khan jumped in to reveal that the virus testing is done on a weekly basis.
He writes, “Yes, we test every person who’s in the backstage area or working in or around the ring at the beginning of every week we’re doing a show. Thank you both.”
This news comes shortly after a WWE employee tested positive for COVID-19 due to the lack of testing done by the company. Going forward it appears that WWE will be issuing tests regularly.
