WWE issued the following press release announcing that their upcoming live event tour in Japan has been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The shows were set to take place between July 2nd and July 4th. No indication as to when WWE will be able to return to Japan, but a report from earlier this month hinted that the company is slowly rebuilding it’s live event schedule.
Japan ended its state of emergency on May 25th, and are rolling out a plan for promotions like NJPW, AJPW, Dragon Gate, NOAH, STARDOM, and many more to run empty arena venues on the path to bringing back fans.
