AEW has officially announced the signing of women’s wrestler Anna Jay.
Jay made her Dynamite debut last Wednesday, losing to Hikaru Shida.
Jay was trained at the wrestling school ran by AEW’s QT Marshall, and co-owned by former WCW star Glacier. Their school in Norcross, GA is the same place Dynamite was filmed at.
“The Star of the Show” reacted to the signing on Instagram and wrote, “It’s showtime….. [star emoji]”
AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes also commented on the signing via Twitter, congratulating Jay.
He wrote, “[musical note emoji] Hard times breed better men [musical note emoji] …and women. Anna Jay showed up and stepped up. Hung in there with an absolute killer like Shida! Congratulations.”
