According to Fightful, WWE will be using NXT and Performance Center talents as fans for this week’s tapings of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. This will be the first time WWE has attempted this scenario since the COVID-19 pandemic forced the promotion to go without an audience for their shows, including their recent Money In The Bank pay per view.
It was noted that everyone acting as fans were screened for Covid-19 this morning. Reports are that among those participating are Dominik Dijakovic, Jessamyn Duke, Shotzi Blackheart, and Chelsea Green. It it not known whether or not the talent will remain in the audience for NXT on USA, but they will intentionally not be shown on camera. WWE is expected to tape all this week’s content over the next three days.
This formula is something AEW has been doing for the last couple months, with a large number of staff providing extra noise for this past Saturday’s Double or Nothing pay per view.
Stay tuned.
