Booker T gave his thoughts on various topics on his latest Hall Of Fame podcast. Here are the highlights:
On his Survivor Series 2004 match with JBL:
“Clothesline from hell, not that bad. JBL is a pro. He’s a consummate pro. That was a hell of a match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Came out on the losing end. That’s just part of the game. But that was one of my favorite matches because John and I came from the same spot down in the Global Wrestling Federation. John and I. My first trip to Japan. My first trip to Korea was with JBL tag teaming. In Korea together. We knew exactly what being out in the middle of that squared circle was all about then. And it wasn’t about winning and losing for him and I. It was about going out there and giving the fans the ultimate rush. I appreciate you giving that match some props because not too many people don’t do too many people talk about the matches that I’ve had. They always talk about the moments. So I appreciate that.”
On where LA Knight goes after Crown Jewel loss:
“It’s a revolving door. I just said that a minute ago, Roman. They obviously had some plans with Roman. I don’t know what it is. Not winning in Riyadh. He still won. That’s another story. I just don’t look at it as him being put at the back of the line or anything. That’s just not the way the wrestling business goes. And I think the fans are going to do the same thing with LA Knight.”
