AEW superstar and Executive VP Cody Rhodes held a Q&A on his Twitter last night where The American Nightmare answered a handful of questions about the pro-wrestling industry. Most notable was when a fan asked whether AEW would ever have an authority figure, a question Rhodes was quick to respond to.
Hopefully never. The audience isn’t dumb, they know who management is. Authority elements seem insulting in this era. This is just my opinion, as there’s a lot of fun ways to do this and I respect those.
AEW President Tony Khan did appear in a backstage segment in the build to the Revolution pay per view, although he was never officially shown. Check out Rhodes’ tweet below.
