AEW superstar Miro responded to a fan on Twitter who shared footage of the Best Man’s showdown with WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg from an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2016. The segment ended with Goldberg attacking Miro (then Rusev), and hitting him with his signature Jackhammer finisher.
Miro reveals that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon promised he’d owe Miro one for taking the spot. He writes, “Fun fact. Before this seg i got called in the office. VKM said i will owe you one.”
During their confrontation Goldberg noticeably stumbled prior to Jackhammering Miro, something that the WWE editing team removed from their archived clips. When a different fan points that out Miro writes back, “He fell.”
