The NWA’s Nick Aldis has reached yet another milestone in his already impressive career. He has now carried the NWA world’s heavyweight championship for 600 days, defeating the likes of Tim Storm, Flip Gordon, Ricky Morton, Marty Scurll, James Storm, and many more along the way.
Aldis recaptured the title from top AEW superstar Cody Rhodes at the NWA 70th anniversary event back in October of 2018. Rhodes had shocked Aldis at the independently produced ALL IN pay per view to become the champion, holding it for 50-days himself.
The National Treasure would take to Twitter to comment on his legendary reign writing, “I made the promise that day and continue to make that promise; that every day I hold the #tenpoundsofgold, I will do my best to honor the legends who held the title with pride, and the fans that believe in the legacy and tradition of professional wrestling.”
