Tony Khan believes WWE is still playing dirty.
The AEW President recently appeared on the Dan Le Batard Show to discuss contract tampering, something he claims was the reason he has such issues with WWE as they were attempting to contact AEW talents who were still under contract. Khan, who was public about his mother being in the hospital during this time, tells Le Batard that WWE is still doing this.
I don’t think that it has. I think that it’s still happening. And I will reserve all rights when it comes to that, but I don’t think that it’s stopped. And I’ll leave it at that.
The answer from Khan comes at a strange time as two of AEW’s bigger stars, Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo, are expected to leave AEW and go to WWE once their contracts expire. However, if Khan wanted he could keep Fenix longer due to the Lucha Bro missing a ton of time from injury.
Elsewhere in the interview, Khan spoke about AEW running a tour in London in 2025 even though that year’s All In pay-per-view will be happening in Texas. You can read about that here.
