Live from the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois! Tony Schiavone is joined by the returning Nigel McGuinness, and here’s the “Rated R Superstar”!
Match #1. Trios Match: Adam Copeland, Eddie Kingston, & Mark Briscoe vs. Top Flight & Action Andretti
Kingston still gets the loudest reaction from the crowd… I will continue to point that out. Andretti wants to battle Briscoe with Red Neck Kung Fu, but Briscoe arm drags him instead. Both men flip out of arm drags and Andretti comes back with a dropkick. Bottom rope assisted tornillo by Andretti for a one count. Briscoe gets sent into the corner but he springboards off with a hard forearm and Andretti is in the corner, allowing Copeland to get the tag. Double shoulder block spot a la The Briscoes! Andretti flips out of a veritical suplex and comes back with a handspring elbow. Quick back slide by Darius for two and a dropkick in the mouth. Suplex by Darius and a senton by Dante. Two count. Dante misses a splash, Copeland misses a splash, but he catches Dante over the shoulder and hits a running powerslam. Kingston is in with headbutts and a stinging chop to Dante. Springboard cannonball by Dante. Twisting suplex by Briscoe, who’s now legal. Quick tags as Kingston puts the boots to Dante throughout the commercial. Head scissors by Dante and a hot tag to Darius. Darius cleans house with elbows and chops. Enziguiri to Briscoe. Tornado DDT/reverse DDT combo to Copeland and Briscoe. Arabian press by Andretti to Copeland. Suicide dive by Andretti to Kingston. Briscoe with a big exploder to Dante. One for Andretti. Kingston takes on both members of Top Flight with chops but an assisted Sliced Bread by Top Flight. Copeland makes the save at two. All six men in the ring and it’s a triple double clothesline! Andretti lays some body shots into Kingston, and an enziguiri, but runs into a lariat. Superkick by Martin to Kingston. Impaler DDT by Copeland to Andretti who lands awkwardly on his ankle. Jaydriller to Darius! Spinning back fist and a spear to Dante! Froggy Bow! One, two, three!
Winners: Adam Copeland, Mark Briscoe, & Eddie Kingston
Rating: ***1/4. Just a real fun, all-star team, opening sprint here. Copeland and company build momentum going into Dynasty and the young guys are brushing elbows with greatness.
After the match, Kingston and company shake hands with Top Flight and raise their arms in respect. Nice.

House of Black on the tron. Buddy says it’s impressive, but these guy should thank each other because tomorrow, all of their dreams will be eradicated tomorrow. Malakai says tomorrow, they will dig so deep, he’ll think he’s close to hell.
Match #2. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. CJ Esparza
Hobbs lets Esparza take some body shots then runs him over with a clothesline and throws him out of the ring under the bottom rope. World’s Strongest Slam on the apron. Two. Three. Torture Rack and this one’s over.
Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs

Don Callis grabs the mic and says he’s got something important to say. The Don Callis Family is the talk of pro wrestling, by the way. Out of concern for Callis’ safety, he won’t be at ringside during the bunkhouse match. Hobbs has a match with Moxley next week, and we all know that. Callis is the reason that New Japan saw success after Jericho and Omega many years ago, and they owed Callis a favor. Callis tells us that the match between Moxley and Hobbs is for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship!
Match #3. The Acclaimed vs. The Gunn Club
Gunns look like they’re leaving but Schiavone says that if they leave, they don’t get a title shot tomorrow. Brawl ensues and Scissor Me, Timbers to Austin. Colten attacks from behind and Caster is in trouble as we go to commercial. Back from commercial and Caster kicks Colten off and makes the tag. Bowens clears the ring with rolling elbows and a kick combo to Colten and a Kitaro Crusher. Two count. Bowens looks for a roll up but Austin holds on to Colten. Caster looks to make the save but Bowens gets sent into him and rolled up for two. Ushigaroshi by Bowens gets two. Austin holds on to Bowens again from the outside and Colten hits a real awkward looking Fameasser for two. Bulldog by Austin and a crossover neckbreaker by Colten. Two count. Gunns want the 3:10 to Yuma but Caster makes the blind tag. Caster wants a DVD but Austin goes to the eyes and punches him in the back of the neck. Backfist by Caster and the Attitude Adjustment. Caster goes up but gets crotched by Austin. Caster lays everyone out with superkicks but Gunns connect with the 3:10 to Yuma. Caster is legal and he comes off the top with the Mic Drop! Two count as Colten breaks it up. Austin quickly rolls up Caster behind the referee’s back as Jay White provides some assistance from the outside for the pin.
Winners: The Gunn Club
Rating: *3/4. Yeah uh, I don’t know what’s happening here. These two teams don’t have the best chemistry and this just felt like they were trying to get themselves into position for the finish from the beginning. Hopefully the trios match tomorrow night is much better.
Lexi Nair is with Bryan Danielson, looking for an update after he got dumped on his head by Takeshita on the ramp. Danielson says he feels alive, because he gets his revenge tonight in a Bunkhouse match. Will Ospreay shows up and tells Danielson that he had nothing to do with the attacks from the Don Callis Family. Danielson doesn’t seem to believe him.
Toni Storm is here and asks if Thunder Rosa wants to take her to hell? Well, Toni Storm makes love to her demons every single night.
Match #4. Bunkhouse Brawl: Blackpool Combat Club vs. Don Callis Family
Takeshita and Fletcher attack during the entrance and here we go! Brawl all over to start as Danielson hits a diving knee off the guardrail to Fletcher. Running clothesline down the stars to Takeshita. Danielson bounces Fletcher’s head off the announcer’s table like a thousand times while Takeshita beats on Claudio with the bell hammer. Spinebuster back in the ring by Claudio and Giant Swing! Ten revolutions by Claudio and Danielson dropkick to the face. Claudio locks in the Sharpshooter inside the ring as Danielson attempts a suicide dive but Fletcher throws a chair at his face and it lands. Fletcher breaks up the pin and throws powder in the face of Claudio. Danielson is busted open and Takeshita is tearing at the forehead. Danielson sees his own blood and fires up, laying in some elbows to Takeshita but Takeshita responds with a rolling elbow and Danielson is down. Claudio gets clotheslined into the front row and Takeshita moves Danielson to the ramp, looking for another brainbuster. Danielson counters with a DDT! Fletcher pounds on Danielson but Claudio sprints from God knows where and levels Fletcher! Claudio bouncing Fletcher’s head off the steel steps and now he’s busted open as well. Danielson is pounding on Takeshita until Claudio picks him up and drapes him across the top rope. Diving knee off the top by Danielson to the back of Takeshita’s head! YES kicks by Danielson in the center of the ring. Danielson wants the Busaiku Knee but Fletcher holds his ankle, allowing Takeshita to drill a Helluva Kick in the corner. German suplex to Claudio and a running enziguiri by Fletcher. Stereo brainbusters by Fletcher and Takeshita! Double two counts. Fletcher goes under the ring and grabs a chain, which Takeshita wraps around his hand and arm. Takeshita tries a rolling elbow to Danielson but he gets the knee up and here’s Claudio! Stereo rear naked chokes and stereo Hammer and Anvil elbows. Double Lebell Lock/crossface by the BCC but Hobbs is here! Hobbs spinebusters everyone! WILD THING! MOXLEY IS HERE, TOO! Moxley ad Hobbs brawl in the middle of the ring and then fight their way through the crowd and to the back. Takeshita finds a chair and lays into Claudio as Fletcher beats on Danielson with a microphone. Takeshita opens up a chair and tries to powerbomb Danielson but gets reversed and it’s a hurricanrana on the chair! Running European uppercuts by Claudio, who has the chain on his arm! Huge lariat to Fletcher! Cannonball off the apron by Claudio to Takeshita and back in the ring Danielson levels Fletcher with the Busaiku Knee! Lebell Lock by Danielson is sunk in, but Danielson uses the chain across the mouth and Fletcher taps!
Winners: Blackpool Combat Club
Rating: ****. I say this a lot, but when you’ve got four of the best wrestlers in the world… what can you expect? This ruled, the bunkhouse stipulation played great, and it felt like a fight between two sets of dudes that hate each other. Just a whole heck of a lot of fun.
Danielson grabs a mic… cut the music! A lot of people ask Danielson, why are you doing a bunkhouse match the night before you wrestle Ospreay? When some people think of heaven, they think of streets of gold and 40 virgins, but Danielson’s heaven will be standing in this ring, bleeding in front of everyone! Tomorrow, at Dynasty, Danielson is going to beat Ospreay’s ass!
Match #5. Skye Blue vs. Leyla Hirsch
Huge running boot to the face by Blue to start. Code Blue attempt by Blue but Hirsch holds on, flips her over, and drills her with a big running knee strike. Blue retreats to the outside and Hirsch tries to follow up with a suicide dive but catches an elbow to the face. Twisting neckbreaker off the apron by Blue! Both women back in the ring now as Blue gets a two count after a Northern Light’s suplex. Hirsch fights back with some elbows but Blue connects with one of her own followed by a cartwheel elbow strike in the corner. Hirsch traps an arm after an Irish whip attacks and tosses Blue with a big Saito suplex. Hirsch goes up top but Blue catches her and goes through the legs with a superkick. Blue tries for a superplex but gets caught and Hirsch cartwheels over the back and German suplexes her from the top. Two count. Hirsch tries something but slips on the top and Blue catches her with a boot to the face. TKO into a dragon sleeper by Blue and Hirsch taps!
Winner: Skye Blue
Rating: **1/2. Fine match here and one of Hirsch’s better showings since she’s been back. I feel like Blue was on TV every week for a few months and I hadn’t seen her in a while, but she’s turning into one heck of a performer.
Match #6. Trios Match: The Elite vs. FTR & Pac
Okada and Pac to start. Pac with the upper hand early as the Bucks try to jump him from behind and Pac is smart to it. Dax lays some hard chops into Okada in the corner. Quick tags now as Okada is in trouble in the wrong corner. Diving double stomp by Pac to the knee of Okada. Everyone brawls on the outside now as Dax sends Okada into the steel steps and Cash throws Nicholas into the front row. Matthew drags Cash out of the ring as he and Okada put the boots to him, while we go to commercial break. Back from break and The Elite are in control, with a fist drop and a chin lock on Wheeler. Back suplex and Pac gets the hot tag. Running back elbow to Matthew and a single leg dropkick. Vertical suplex by Pac and Nicholas breaks up the pin. Pac sends Nicholas and Matthew to the outside and German suplexes Okada. Corkscrew plancha by Pac takes out the Bucks! Spike piledriver to Okada! One, two, no! Pac heads up top for the Black Arrow but the Bucks provide a distraction and Okada nearly kicks his head off on the apron. The Bucks lay into Pac on the outside behind the referee’s back, before sending him back in the ring to the waiting flapjack from Okada. Quick tags now as Matthew accidentally enziguiris Nicholas. Tilt a whirl backbreaker by Pac to Matthew and Dax gets the hot tag. Dax fights everyone off with fists and a short-arm clothesline for Matthew. Brainbuster by Dax to Okada! Matthew goes up top but gets crotched. Tree of Woe North South kinda maneuver in the corner. Slingshot powerbomb into a German suplex and a jackknife cover by FTR and Pac! Two count. Nicholas makes the save but accidentally superkicks Matthew! Okada has seen enough and DDTs Dax. Dax is up but he runs into Okada’s dropkick. Dax ducks a Rainmaker and locks in the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring! Bucks make the save with a double superkick. Triple team in the corner and Okada has Dax up… Air Raid Crash neckbreaker. Running knee by Nicholas. Diving elbow drop by Matthew. Pac breaks up the pin! Okada and Matthew get dumped to the outside as FTR hit the Powerplex on Nicholas! Pac is here too, 450 splash! Okada and Matthew break it up and now it’s a hockey fight! Shatter Machine by Bucks to Pac! Two count. EVP Trigger to Pac but Cash makes the save! Cash sends Nicholas to the outside and it’s the Shatter Machine to Matthew! Okada sends Dave to the outside. Superkick by Nicholas and a DDT on the floor by Pac! Cash with a dive over the top! Black Arrow by Pac back inside the ring to Matthew! One, two, three!
Winners: FTR & Pac
Rating: ****. Yeah man, the AEW trios division can do no wrong. The Bucks have absolutely charged their style in the ring, slowing things down, and it’s starting to work really well. Humongous win for Pac on the eve of the biggest match of his career, too.
The Elite dive on Pac after the bell but here’s Daniel Garcia to make the save! Pac gets the Brutalizer on Okada but Bucks make the save!
Final Thoughts: Another very strong outing from AEW tonight, and a heck of a go-home show for Dynasty. Everything the BCC touch turns to gold and tonight was no different. The main event also did well in giving us enough to have something to look forward to tomorrow, without giving us too much. Toni Storm and Willow Nightingale also gave some of their strongest promos to date, helping build more excitement for their respective matches. Good show that delivered from the storyline side, as well as the pro wrestling. 8.5/10.Â
