Bary Horowitz has wrestled some of the biggest names in the industry, but there is one that alluded him that he wishes he could faced.
The WWE and WCW veteran spoke about this topic during a recent interview on Under The Ring, where he named WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle as a dream opponent. Horowitz says that if the two met in their prime they could have bounced off each other really well, adding that he would have put Angle over in any scenario.
Hands down, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle. In my prime, if I was calling the match, I would want a 30 minute match with Kurt Angle and I would have him go over on me or you could do a 30 minute broadway and then have a rematch, and then of course Kurt goes over with his Angle Slam. I think we would bounce off each other, literally, for moves and holds.
Horowitz calls specific attention to his years of collegiate wrestling matched up against Angle’s Olymic Gold Medal wrestling, and how in the end they could have made it work in a sports entertainment setting.
You got an Olympic gold medalist wrestling a guy who wrestled in high school and one year at FSU. There’s no comparison, but still, the fans don’t care about that, we’re doing pro wrestling right now. But yeah, that would be so cool.
