Jalen Brunson is ready to take his rivalry with Tyrese Haliburton from the NBA courts to a WWE ring.
Brunson, the star point guard for the New York Knicks, made an unexpected appearance at WWE SmackDown on June 28 at Madison Square Garden. During the event, he took an active role, blocking Haliburton, who plays for the Indiana Pacers, from assisting Logan Paul in a high-stakes triple threat match against LA Knight and Santos Escobar.
When questioned about a potential wrestling match against Haliburton at Fanatics Fest NYC, Brunson kept the door open.
I’m never going to say never. Maybe we can speak it into existence.
The segment of Brunson’s comments at Fanatics Fest was later featured on WWE SmackDown.
The Pacers eliminated the Knicks from the playoffs in 2024 after a seven game series. The Pacers would get knocked out in the next round by the Boston Celtics, who went on to win the NBA Finals.
