An unknown promoter posted the following statement on an IMPACT Wrestling reddit thread thanking IMPACT for paying him two shows that were originally scheduled to take place in March, but were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Just want to publicly thank Impact Wrestling. i was hired as the local promoter for the Lockdown and March breakdown shows. Tickets were going really well and we even sold out of premium tickets ($12k) in four hours. When the shows were canceled, I silently cried and I refunded everyone’s ticket money. Then today, I check my account and Impact paid me for both shows even though they didn’t happen. You have no idea how appreciated and needed this was. If I never promote or announce another Impact Wrestling show again, will always be thankful to them for this selfless act.
