As we reported earlier, Kevin Owens has opted to not arrive for the next tapings of Monday Night Raw. WWE has given talent the option to stay home if they don’t feel safe in the environment with the COVID-19 pandemic still going. The belief is that there will be absolutely no punishment to Owens for choosing to stay home.
Owens decided to stay home after someone at the performance center tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. His wife’s grandfather recently passed away from the virus just a few weeks ago, so members of his family were concerned about him working there at this time. It’s possible that he only plans on missing one week’s worth of TV tapings and will be back for the next set, however, there’s no word yet on whether WWE will continue testing or if this is a one time thing. Aside from the one person, there hasn’t been any word of anyone else testing positive.
Owens was last seen on Raw defeating Angel Garza in a singles match.
