A recap of the attack on Danielson from Jon Moxley and company is shown. Moxley says they tried it Danielson’s way, but it didn’t work, and it’s clear Moxley is the King of the Land.
Live from the UW Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin!
Tony Schiavone welcomes The Patriarchy. Word on the street is, Christian Cage has infinite aura. Christian finally saw what he was waiting for in Killswitch, and he belongs to Christian. Christian says he will beat Danielson so bad he will wish Brie has CTE. Woof. Christian says he’s the reigning, defending, undisputed… next AEW World Champion.
Renee is in the back with Don Callis, the family, and Will Ospreay. Callis has the idea that Ospreay should join Flecher in the tag Casino Gauntlet tonight. Callis reminds Ospreay that he owes him a favor. Fletcher pleads with Ospreay, and Ospreay can’t say no. They’re in.
Match #1. AEW TNT Championship: Jack Perry (c) vs. Lio Rush w/ Action Andretti
Fight spills to the outside early as Rush escapes a draping apron DDT, only to get snake eyes’d on the apron instead. Perry in control now as we go to a commercial. Perry takes a cheap shot at Andretti, and Andretti retaliates, getting ejected by the referee. Rush uses his speed, sending Perry to the floor and following up with a series of suicide dives. Rush looks for Rush Hour but Perry moves, however Rio connects with a Spanish Fly instead. Two count. Lio catches a charging Rush and lawn darts him into the middle turnbuckle for two. Dragon suplex by Perry, who’s mocking Kenny Omega. A second snap dragon. Rush fights his way out of a third snap dragon and hits a Poisonrana. Regal knee by Perry out of nowhere. A second one will get it done.
Winner and STILL AEW TNT Champion: Jack Perry
Rating: **1/2. Short and sweet, reminding us why Jack Perry is the TNT Champion.
Alex Marvez is in the back with Jack Perry. Perry says people like his are crucified in this life, so they can be worshipped in the next. Perry hops in the Scapegoat bus and drives off.
Renee is here with Hangman Page. Page says if he found a thousand houses that Swerve called home, he’d have burned every one of them. Page meant every word, every bruise, every piece of flesh, and every drop of blood. If you stood between Page and Swerve, he will find you, and hurt you. Hangman shoves a few security guards to the ground and runs into Dark Order, who say they don’t even know who he is anymore. Here’s Jeff Jarrett, trying to talk some sense into Hangman. Hangman sucker punches Jarrett and tosses him into some chairs, as Hangman storms off.
Private Party and Komander hit the ring, but…
Jon Moxley, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Pac attack everyone. Shafir puts Komander to sleep with a choke while everyone else gets dismantled. Pac says enough is enough and this company is broken. Pac says he’s a product of the environment, and he’s been lost for very long, but now he’s got a purpose. Diplomacy has failed, and this company is theirs.
Match #2. Ricochet vs. Sammy Guevara
Back handspring into a tieres and a dropkick to send Sammy to the outside. Corkscrew plancha by Ricochet! The fight heads up the ramp as Ricochet delivers some European uppercuts. Sammy throws Ricochet into the landing and superkicks him. Sammy climbs up the top of the tunnel and moonsaults off! Both guys finally make it back to the ring as Sammy comes back with a superkick and a brainbuster for two. Sammy throws Ricochet outside, and tries a tornillo of his own… and lands it. Sammy thinks powerbomb on the ramp but Ricochet back body drops him. Ricochet tells the fans to move and Ricochet comes off the guardrail with a running double jump senton! Springboard clothesline by Ricochet and a running Shooting Star Press gets two! Roundhouse kicks by Ricochet and a kick to the midsection. Sammy tries a leapfrog but Ricochet catches him in a fireman’s carry, but Sammy counters into a destroyer! Diving cutter off the top by Sammy! Two count. Crowd is on fire now for this one. Sammy misses a Shooting Star Press from the top but catches Ricochet rolling into a high knee! GTH by Sammy is blocked and Ricochet hits a knee of his own. Superkick to the face and an axe kick by Ricochet. Big Vertigo and this one is over!
Winner: Ricochet
Rating: ***1/2. After the commercial, this match ruled. Ricochet feels like a big star in AEW already, and Sammy did right by him here.
The Beast Mortos is here and tears Ricochet in half with a spear! Sammy makes the save with a chair, before extending the hand to Ricochet as both guys embrace.
Renee is with Kazuchika Okada. Okada says All Out was the hardest night of his life.. but he did it. IT WAS SO.. EASY. Through fake tears, of course. Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita are here. Okada says that Takeshita will be a champion, just not the Continental Champion…
Bitch.
Here’s Darby Allin. Darby isn’t hiding from Moxley, as he grabs the microphone. Darby says someone’s been looking for him… and he’s right here.
Jon Moxley’s music hits and here he is with Marina Shafir. Moxley shows his hands up, no weapons, and he comes in peace. Moxley says he doesn’t know what Darby saw or heard, but nothing has changed between the two. Darby says he’s heard enough, and there’s a lot he wants to talk about. Darby says he and Moxley are alike and they don’t take any of this for granted, and AEW gave him everything. Darby looked for a hero when he was a young wrestler, and they all showed how fake they were, except for Jon Moxley. Moxley will still wrestle in a high school gym because he loves the business, and they first met in a high school gym on the independents where he gained the confidence. Darby says What do you want, Jon? Darby no longer has a world title shot at Grand Slam, and that’s good, because Darby isn’t ready. Moxley wants Darby to hand that title shot over to him, because Darby isn’t there yet. Darby wants to know if Jon started drinking again, because there’s no way he’s giving that up. Moxley wants him and Darby in New York at Grand Slam for the championship. Moxley says Darby doesn’t know what’s going on here, and he will teach him a lesson the hard way. Darby says he accepts. Darby says if you’re trying to burn AEW to the ground, don’t be surprised if Darby pulls him into the fire.
Christopher Daniels is with Alex Marvez. Nigel McGuinness is here and he wants a word with Tony Khan… now.
Match #3. AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Mariah May (c) vs. Queen Aminata
Both women trade foot sweeps and covers to start, as we quickly break down into a fist fight. Aminata uses her strength and connects with a running PK. Aminata misses a running boot on the bottom rope and May takes control with boots and knees to the face. May throws Aminata into the guardrail as she stays in control through the commercial. Back from break and May comes off the top with a shotgun dropkick. Aminata blocks a top rope tieres and rolls through with a cover for two. Snap suplex by Amianta and a big release German suplex. Sliding leg lariat to May, who was propped up against the bottom rope. Two count. May escapes a powerbomb and May snaps her down with a neckbreaker on the knee. Shotgun dropkick by May. Running knee by May and Storm Zero finishes this one.
Winner: Mariah May
Rating: **3/4. Nice showing for Aminata here, who has a ton of potential. Mariah May’s title reign continues in impressive fashion.
May has the mic and laments she hasn’t had the championship celebration. Something is missing. Someone is missing. Mina Shirakawa is missing.
The Bucks say the fans shouldn’t be mad at the, they should be mad at the tag teams who aren’t good enough to replace them as the top of the division. That’s why they booked this Casino Gauntlet tonight, anyway.
Match #4. The Learning Tree vs. The Iron Savages
Boulder and Jericho start. Jericho is still wearing the orange juice-stained jacket from four years ago, by the way. Jericho slaps Boulder so Boulder punches him in the face a bunch, and Bill tags himself in. Both guys trade power but Boulder misses a corner charge. Avalanche by Bill and a big boot. Bill clotheslines boulder over the top and Keith tags himself in. Rising headbutt to Jameson and Diamond Dust. Keith tags in Jericho who gets the pin.
Winners: The Learning Tree
Rating: NR
Jericho grabs the mic and lets everyone know that he wants his $7,000 from Orange Cassidy. Jericho says he’s going to keep stealing from Cassidy, until he’s satisfied. Jericho shows a picture of Cassidy with the Best Friends, that he kept in the backpack. JERICHO WANTS HIS CASH, CASSIDY.
Orange Cassidy is showed on the tron. Cassidy says he has Jericho’s money, as he instructs Kyle and Mark Briscoe to dump a ton of change in Jericho’s Bentley, and they do. Cassidy keeps the change.
Back from break, and Nigel McGuinness is in the ring. Forgive the interruption, but there was something Nigel had to get off of his chest. There’s not going to be an AEW World Championship match at Grand Slam, which is great for the champion, and that’s not good for AEW. Nigel says an event like Grand Slam should have the champion at least compete on the show, which brings Nigel… to this. Danielson is afraid of Nigel, and the one match that everyone wants to see. Tony Khan isn’t afraid, however. And THIS, is a contract for Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness at Grand Slam!
The Young Bucks are making their way down out, where they will take in the match from the stage in their own chairs.

MxM breaks up the pin. Acclaimed dropkicks MxM to the outside and Caster follows with a plancha. The Outrunners are next and the crowd goes wild. Grizzled Young Vets are next but they’re met on the stage with FTR. Turbo Floyd meets Mansoor ont he top rope and superlexes him on the entire cast of character. Powerslam/neckbreaker finish by Outrunners but Vincent breaks up the pin. Darius with a big dive over the top and a shotgun dropkick to Vincent. Piledriver by Benett. Sheer drop brainbuster to Benett from Fletcher. Hurricanrana driver by Dante for two. Enziguiri by Fletcher. Dante looks for the crossover frog splash but Fletcher gets the knees up. Hidden Blade from behind on Dante and Fletcher rolls him up for the win!
Winner and New AEW World Tag Team Champion Number One Contenders: Kyle Fletcher & Will Ospreay
Rating: ***1/2. This format does not disappoint, but if I were AEW I’d shelf it for a little while to make it seem fresh. The right guys win here and there are a lot of ways to go with Ospreay and Fletcher. Looking forward to some new blood in the tag team division, too.
