WWE Network news issued the following press release announcing that archived episodes of WWE Confidential will be coming to the WWE Network starting Monday May 18th. Details can be found below.
It came later than usual, but we can officially bring you the exclusive news on the classic content set to arrive on WWE Network for the month of May 2020. This month will see more episodes of the documentary/magazine style series from the early 2000’s, WWE Confidential. More specifically, episodes from 2003 and 2004 will be added to the archives. And we can also reveal the content will be arriving on Monday, May 18th.
The show is well known for peeling the curtain back on key subjects and perhaps most notably, being hosted by the late, great, Mean Gene Okerlund. There are currently dozens of episodes available on demand, some covering controversial subjects such as the passing of Miss Elizabeth or the Montreal Screwjob. Of course, there’s plenty of more relaxed material featured as well.
WWE Confidential is a bit of an interesting case as the series wasn’t always in a regular weekly rotation. Some weeks would be missed while others would have repeats or slightly edited repeats/best ofs. As a result, the actual number of episodes proper seems to be disputed by different sources. We can confirm that at one point, this drop, which will be of standard size similar to other recent classic content dumps, was considered to be the final one for the series and thus completing it. However, this contradicts other listings and numberings found elsewhere. We hope to have a full listing before the weekend is over that may clear up some confusion. As a reminder, these episodes of WWE Confidential will be added to the WWE Network on Monday, May 18th.
