Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest are set to resolve their personal grievances at WWE Crown Jewel.
On tonight’s Monday Night Raw, Cody Rhodes disrupted the Judgment Day celebration during the October 23 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.
He taunted Finn Balor and Damian Priest, suggesting they were taking orders from Rhea Ripley. This was in response to Priest’s low blow on Rhodes during the October 16 episode, which contributed to Judgment Day regaining the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship from Rhodes and Jey Uso. As a result of this confrontation, Senor Money In The Bank challenged Rhodes to a showdown at WWE Crown Jewel, a challenge that Rhodes promptly accepted.
The tension escalated when an impromptu brawl broke out. Despite Jey Uso attempting to thwart potential attacks from Dominik Mysterio, Priest managed to target Cody Rhodes’s leg, courtesy some assistance from Judgement Day prospect JD McDonagh, trapping it in the steel steps and subsequently assaulting it with a steel chair.
Although Cody Rhodes received medical attention and was assisted to the trainer’s room, the match was officially scheduled for November 4.
