Ronda Rousey will reportedly compete in the Women’s WrestleMania 39 Showcase Fatal 4 Way.
As noted, it was reported on Friday morning that WWE had plans to hold two Fatal 4 Way tag team matches at WrestleMania 39, one for the women and one for the men. WWE later announced during SmackDown that these are billed as WrestleMania Showcase matches. The first qualifier took place with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeating Emma and Tegan Nox to qualify.
In an update, a new report from the original source, Wrestlevotes, notes that the plan as of the last creative discussion was to finalize the Women’s Showcase with the following three teams – Rousey and Shayna Baszler, Natalya and Shotzi, Carmella and Chelsea Green.
It was reported earlier that the men’s Fatal 4 Way will feature The Viking Raiders, Braun Strowman and Ricochet, Alpha Academy, and The Street Profits, but that has not been confirmed as the qualifiers have not been held yet.
WWE WrestleMania 39 is scheduled for Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Below is the current card, along with some of the rumored matches:
