Last night on AEW Dynamite The Gunns (Austin & Colten) shocked the world when they defeated The Acclaimed to win the AEW Tag Team Titles. The duo became the tenth tag champions since the company was launched in 2019 next to the Young Bucks, FTR, Lucha Bros, SCU, Jurassic Express, and Adam Page & Kenny Omega.
Today, Anthony Bowens took to Twitter to comment on the loss, where he promised fans that he and Max Caster would get the titles back. He also weighs in on Billy Gunn proving his loyalty to The Acclaimed and not betraying them like many had predicted a while ago. His full tweet reads:
I don’t really have words at the moment BUT I promise you we’ll get those titles back. Plus, now we know where Daddy Ass stands..with The Acclaimed where he belongs. EVERYONE LOVES ACCLAIMED.
The Acclaimed won the titles back at Grand Slam Dynamite in September. Their reign officially lasted for 140 days.
