Shotzi opens up about her excitement for the upcoming NXT Halloween Havoc television specials.
The WWE star interviewed with WrestlingNews about the shows, which will take place over the course of the next two weeks. Shotzi will be hosting the event, her third-time since WWE brought back Halloween Havoc in 2020. She says that one thing that really excited her about this year’s edition is the number of women’s matches that are on the card.
I am loving that we are seeing so many women come in today and doing not just regular matches, like Devil’s Playground matches, Lights Out matches. This is a dream come true. So I’m super excited. I will be definitely watching as a fan. My girl Roxanne is in there, Gigi Dolin is getting down tonight, so I am super excited.
Staying on subject, Shotzi mentions how exciting it is for her to see Halloween Havoc make a resurgence as it was always something she had hoped for when signing with WWE.
I even joked about it when I first got signed. I was like, man, I wish we could bring back Halloween Havloc because we started doing that. We were taking a bunch of old pay-per-views and bringing them back. I was like, man, when is Halloween Havoc gonna get a chance? Then I got a phone call saying, ‘Hey, we’re gonna bring back Halloween Havoc, we want you to be the host,’ and I just died. I was like, this is my dream come true. I’m dressed up like Elvira right now, and she’s my gal. She was the first woman to be the role model for Halloween Havoc. So I’m stepping in her shoes, and she’s my favorite person ever, so I’m really excited.
In a separate interview, Shotzi credits The Wyatt Family for getting her interested in wrestling. You can read about that here.
